The someday pile, finished
Things I’ve actually done.
Not a list of services. The real jobs, from real weeks.
Done
- Sorted the inbox every morning and kept it that way
- Wrote a blog post every week so the business kept showing up
- Posted on Instagram every week
- Made graphics in Canva
- Put together moodboards for a wedding
- Translated a page into Estonian
- Had official documents translated
- Gathered up the invoices for a client’s accountant
- Planned a trip to Japan — visas, flights, places to stay, things to do
- Rang tens of estate agents until the right flat turned up
- Found an electrician to fix a house in another country
- Found cleaners, builders, plumbers and housekeepers
- Compared suppliers and said which one to pick
- Tracked down a specific doctor
- Booked every kind of appointment — doctor, vet, groomer, shoe fitting
- Ordered things. All sorts of things
- Hurried over to a client’s house to let the plumber in, because she couldn’t leave work
- Sat in a vet’s waiting room for an hour so a client could stay in her meeting
- Flew to Sweden to photograph a client’s new rental house
- Sat in a post office for half an hour filling in forms to get a parcel sent
- Took a bike in to be repaired
- Took things to the dry cleaner
- Emptied a whole office, and sold everything in it
- Looked after a cat, and a dog
A slice of it.
